David Zabel is an American producer and writer who serves as the showrunner of AMC's The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon.

Biography

Zabel was born and raised in New York City. He attended Princeton University and New York University's Graduate Acting Program at the Tisch School of the Arts.

Involvement in Daryl Dixon

On April 29, 2022, Zabel was announced to be the showrunner for Daryl Dixon following Angela Kang's departure prior to production on the first season. He has served as the showrunner for the entire run.
